The Düzce Hope Homes project, which was designed using participatory design as a result of the 16-year effort of Homeless Earthquake Survivors from Düzce, was entitled to be one of the 10 finalists of the World Housing Awards before the construction was finished. After many years of struggle to claim rights for the access to land, they now continue their struggle for the access to credit.
